For years I’ve dreamed of walking the Camino de Santiago, an ancient network of pilgrim routes leading to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
Finally I have the opportunity. The winter is over and the warmer months are coming, and I leave for Spain on April 23.
I’ll be walking the most common route, the Camino Francés. The trail spans 490 miles (791km), beginning in St. Jean Pied de Port, France. As I travel, I’ll record the stories of those I meet along with taking their portraits. You can follow my progress here and on Facebook at Faces of the Camino.
